For the past month, my husband has been going to Cambridge House. He now has a reason to get up in the morning. He had been following me around the house since his diagnosis of Alzheimer's two years ago. Now he has a place to go that he enjoys. He likes the exercise classes and the dancing that is done at Cambridge House. The music played is his favorite, the music of the fifties. He talks about Miss Jada and Miss Corrine and this is a big thing for him. He says the nurse is nice too. The interaction with the other clients is good for him too. He does talk about what took place during the day. He is tired at the end of the day, but this is a good tired for him. He has gone on two field trips and this change of scenery is also good for him. He likes variety.
